PV covered 5.5% of Italian electricity demand in March

09.04.2013: Electricity produced by PV systems covered 5.5% of Italy’s electricity demand in the month of March, according to the monthly bulletin released by Italian grid operator Terna SpA. During the month, the total amount of energy produced by grid-connected PV systems reached 1,506 GWh. The amount of electricity produced by PV systems was down 14.6% year on year in March due to bad weather conditions. Source: Terna SpA
